Music from the 2001 Demo
Below are the cuts from the 2001 Demo ... we did a few fiddle tunes, and a couple original songs. On the CD, we include two songs from our appearance on the Shady Grove Stage at the Oregon Country Fair from July, 2000. We'll have some copies of the disc with us at our shows, and we'll probably ask for about a 4- or 5-dollar donation so we can print more. For more info, go to the Extra Stuff page.

Bill Cheatham: One of the first fiddle tunes we learned, and definitely one of our favorites. The tune dates back to at least 1899, when it was used as the standard piece for a fiddle contest in Gallatin, TN.

Let It Go: An original song written by Matt ... Joe takes the central lead on guitar.

Logger's Advance: Our only original "fiddle" tune thusfar ... we use quotes because it has yet to be played on a fiddle.

Noti Holler: Another song Matt wrote ... this one is about an old friend who lived in Noti, OR, several years ago. His name is Benn Woo, and he now lives in New Hampshire ... so if you're up in that neck of the woods, stop in and sit a spell.

Salt Creek: One of the fiddle tune standards in our repertoire. Known as "Salt River" until Bill Monroe recorded it as "Salt Creek," this tune is probably of Irish origin and dates back to at least the late 1800s.
